Our automated assembly research brings together robotics, sensing and metrology to deliver flexible, high-precision manufacturing. The Precision Manufacturing Centre (PMC) delivers world-leading expertise in ultra-high-accuracy engineering, translating breakthrough research into industrial reality. We specialise in design for manufacture, prototype production and advanced verification, including both contact and non-contact measurement.

Omnifactory brings manufacturing to life through seamless digital connection. Our facility integrates every level of production into a single, intelligent network where data flows effortlessly in every direction. This connected environment ensures accuracy, transparency and agility across the entire manufacturing process. Powered by a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach, Omnifactory creates a single source of truth that unites digital design, simulation, and automation. The result is a dynamic ecosystem where insight drives innovation and innovation drives progress.
This infrastructure enables us to integrate software from product design, product lifecycle management (PLM), planning and simulation, manufacturing operations (ERP), industrial IOT, and factory automation, to create a connected factory environment. This enables any last minute changes in the product design to automatically update the production environment with in minimal manual intervention, thus reducing time to market.
Whilst we work closely with Siemens Digital Industries, we also work with other software providers and are experienced integrating multi-vendor software.
